I leave for Israel on July 10 for the second part of my Holocaust scholars studies. Last summer we did the camps in Poland. Now I will study at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem and the Ghetto Fighter's Study Center in Nahariya, Israel.

Welcome
As I continue my Holocaust studies I decided it would be a good idea to Blog my experiences. I am currently putting together a trip for our new International Study Abroad program at the college where I teach, Valencia Community College, Orlando, Fl. I plan to bring students in my Holocaust Education class to Poland to visit the camps and then on to Israel for study at Yad Vashem. This trip will take place in May 2008. Since I will require students to share their experiences in several ways, one of which will be a blog, I thought it best I start one to get use to keeping one. I hope you find this first attempt of mine informative, helpful and easy to understand. I am open to suggestions from anyone on how to improve this or to best use it with my students next May. I leave for Israel on July 10 and return on July 22, 2007.
